Willow

My good friend and house-mate of mine Oli has been recording an EP and he had me design and produce the cover. They are lovely songs, comparable to Iron & Wine or similar contemporary "folk" in terms of mood and tone, but with post-rock sensibilities and progressions reflective of artists such as Explosions In The Sky etc in the writing and structure. The album also features Sam and Ruth (who are both part of the band Fauna, along with Oli).
The current batch have already been promised but if you are interested in hearing the music or having a copy then get in touch, there would probably have to be a minimal cost just to cover production and materials.
Oli came to me with the specification of having a simple, plain cover that relates to the EPs title. I think they turned out alright, the photos make them look a bit cheap and shoddy but the paper and print quality is really nice. There is also a surprisingly complex system that i had to improvise for creating just a sleeve that needs to be loose enough for a CD to slide in and out but tight enough to hold it in place so it doesn't fall out, as well as masking the tabs to apply glue to stop it ruining the white areas and all sorts - not just folding and sticking!
Ill try to get hold of a nicer camera to share some better pictures.
