you know that Rosie Mac friend of mine?
she is studying Art at Cardiff University and she is dead nice.
she got me a poster designed by an artist called Yael Bartana, an israeli-born artist who's work focusses around the philanthropic nature and results of war.
a little bit more about her can be found at this interest

As part of Wales International Visual Arts Exhibition And Prize, Bartana submitted a video piece focussing around the construct of a makeshift village. unfortunately, i've never seen the video so i can't go on about it.
but to accompany the video, Bartana had designed several posters referencing war etc etc. and Rosie, being the kind soul she is and knowing how much i love old style, WW2-esque style, germanic design, grabbed me one of the posters. here it is - I don't have a scanner big enough to scan it in, so you'll have to wait till I move back to uni before you get a proper look at it!
