Wendy
11.05.98 - 04.12.10.
Sadly, yesterday my dog died. She was the first of three dogs i've ever had and I will miss her greatly, as will my family who she was an integral part of. She was a grey hound who unfortunately was abused and mistreated in her early life before being rescued and eventually winding up with us. This made her very timid and easily frightened but despite this she was still s very loving and patient dog. As a pet, she was more than anyone could have asked for; being basically silent for most of life (apart from the weird yawning noises she would make), seeking very little attention and being extremely inactive.
Attached are some photos of her throughout her life and a video of her playing in the snow last year which she found, apparently, quite exciting.
It will be sad to not have Wendy around, but she was very old (for a grey hound) and had put up with a crazy ammount of injuries and sicknesses in her life so we're all surprised she stuck it out this far. I learnt a lot from growing up with Wendy and it is a very sad thing to not have her in my life anymore, as she was definitely one of the things that brought me the greatest levels of happiness.
